Blizzard’s new mobile entry in the Diablo franchise is finally here and it’s got similar controller support to Diablo 3.
Diablo Immortal, Blizzard’s first major game on mobile, is prepping for release and you need to be ready for it. The game will feature controller support for those of us who just hate dragging our fingers across a touchscreen joystick.
When Blizzard released Diablo 3 onto consoles, they redid portions of the game’s control scheme to work with a controller, instead of a keyboard and mouse. The original Diablo was released on PlayStation, but the company skipped putting Diablo 2 on consoles until its recent remaster last year.
However, Blizzard has listed the supported controllers for Diablo Immortal on iOS and Android. Your mileage may vary if you’re not in possession of one of these, but if you have a third party controller from say, Razer, count it as an official one, because your console probably does.
Diablo Immortal iOS controller support
Blizzard’s list of controllers is pretty long and for those on PC, they’ve even specified which dongles or Bluetooth devices will work best with the game. It’s presumed they haven’t grabbed every controller on shelves to test, so there may be others that work too.
On iOS you can use:
- Backbone One Controller
- Razer Kishi
- Rotor Riot Controller (Mfi)
- SteelSeries Nimbus (Mfi)
- Sony Dualshock 4
- Sony DualSense Wireless Controller (PS5)
- Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 (iOS 15+)
- Xbox Adaptive Controller (iOS 14+)
- Xbox One Wireless Bluetooth Controller
- Xbox Series X/S Bluetooth Controller
Diablo Immortal Android controller support
On Android you can use:
- Xbox One Wireless Bluetooth Controller
- Xbox Series X/S Bluetooth Controller
- SteelSeries Stratus Duo
- Sony Dualshock 4
- Sony DualSense Wireless Controller (PS5)
- Xbox Elite Controller Series 2
- Xbox Adaptive Controller
- Razer Kishi
- 8bitdo SN30 Pro Controller
As you can see, the controllers supported differ slightly, but for the most part, it seems that as long as you have an official controller from Microsoft or Sony, you should be fine.
How to pair Xbox controllers to iOS and Android
To pair an Xbox controller with your iOS or Android device, press the small button on the top of the joypad until the home button begins to flash. Then head into your Bluetooth settings and find it in the unpaired devices list.
How to pair PlayStation controllers to iOS and Android
For a PlayStation 4 or 5 controller, press the Share and Home buttons to start the pairing process. You will then be able to connect the same way as with any other Bluetooth device in the settings on your device.
Diablo Immortal PC controller support
For PC, the list looks a little odd, but as long as you have one of the listed controllers, or a third party one, you should be fine.
